Changing lives for the better

Our goal to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and ethical training for aspiring recovery specialists including recovery coaches, recovery companions and interventionists while providing trained and certified recovery specialists to professionals, treatment centers, families and individuals through our IRSI Network.

The IRSI Difference

Certified International Recovery Coach Training

Training those who help others

Our Certified International Recovery Coach Training is a five-day 40-hour training course that teaches the comprehensive purpose, scope, roles, and techniques of recovery coaching and recovery companions. Participants learn how to promote recovery from alcohol and substance use and  behavioral disorders, and how to help remove obstacles to recovery. We teach techniques such as Motivational Interviewing, CRAFT and REBT. Ethics and best practices are the backbone of this training and helps promote cultural awareness emphasizing the important role of the recovery coach in a recovery team. Participants will be expected to attend all five days of this training.

Certified International Interventionist Training

Specialized training for interventionists

Our 4-day Signature Training Course, that started it all, is a comprehensive blend of the two most well-known intervention styles blended into a method that is flexible and takes into consideration the vast differences in families in Europe - and beyond - ensuring that love is the central theme for change instead of strict guidelines or unrealistic demands that are often counter-productive.

The last step for certification

Supervision takes place after the completion of the course in an online environment consisting of an online questionnaire and a 1-hour video call with one of our teachers. Supervision is required for certification as well as the continuing education credits.

Online or In-Person Options

Choose the option that is best for you

We recommend the in-person classes because it allows a much more personal interaction with your trainer and fellow classmates, but we understand that this is not always possible, so we have designed a curriculum that allows you to get your 40 hours from the comfort of your home or office.
